Spaghetti with Sardines

Spaghetti with Sardines


Ingredients:

2 (155g) cans Sardines in Tomato Sauce

¼ kilo spaghetti noodles

1 medium sized garlic chopped

1 medium sized onion chopped

1 cup cherry or regular tomatoes

1 tbsp olive oil

red pepper flakes

parsley chopped

salt and pepper


Procedure:

Cook spaghetti as per packaging instruction. Meanwhile, in a sauce pan, saute some garlic and onions ni a generous amount of olive oil. Add a few pieces of sardines and leave some pieces for topping. Add the cherry tomatoes. Otherwise, diced regular tomatoes (dressded) will do. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for a few minutes. Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce. Add small amount of olive oil. Sprinkle with some chopped parsley. Transfer to the serving dish. Top with whole sardines. Garnish with more parsley and red pepper flakes.
